Life and apostolate of Saint Hyginus

Coming from an illustrious family, Hyginus (or Genies) distinguished himself by his eloquence and his conversions of idolaters before miraculously escaping his persecutors.

Cult and heritage in Lectoure

The saint is honored as the patron of Lectoure, where a monastery and a church were once dedicated to him before being ceded to the Abbey of Cluny in the 17th century.
